Flail Mowing & Mulching in Oxfordshire
Our front-mounted forestry flail mower is a highly capable machine, designed to make light work of everything from overgrown paddock grass to 4 to 5 inch saplings. Mulching is great if you have a field full of tall, thick vegetation or if you’re looking to reclaim some rough land and bring it back into use. Our flail mower mulches down vegetation to fines, so that the material can decompose into the soil quickly.
One of the key advantages of our flail mower is the consistent and level finish it leaves behind. The mulch is evenly distributed across the width of the machine, which is a great benefit, not just for appearance, but for promoting strong regrowth. By avoiding heavy clumps of waste material, the grass beneath is able to push back up through the mulch quickly and cleanly, giving you a better result in the long term. The mulch also helps the ground below to retain moisture and foster better growing conditions.
We regularly use the mower for flail mowing equestrian paddocks that have been left to grow or that have grown unevenly as well as large fields that need to be brought back under control, but it’s equally well-suited to commercial site clearance, amenity land, and more.
