What We Offer
Grass Seed Spreading & Fertiliser Application
Grass Seed Spreading
Maintaining a healthy, productive pasture begins with selecting the right grass seed and applying it correctly. Our professional grass seeding service uses a UTV-mounted broadcaster, enabling access to paddocks, fields, and uneven or restricted areas with minimal impact on the ground surface. We supply and spread high-quality grass seed mixes specifically formulated for equine and grazing land. Two of the most commonly used options include:
General Paddock Mix
A robust, versatile blend of hardy grass species suited to regular horse turnout and mixed grazing. This mix establishes a strong, balanced sward capable of withstanding hoof traffic.
Laminitics Mix
A low-sugar formulation designed for horses prone to laminitis. It includes selected grass species with reduced levels of non-structural carbohydrates, offering safer grazing for sensitive animals.
The service is suitable for improving existing pasture, repairing worn areas, or establishing new grazing land. Seed selection and application are carried out to encourage healthy growth and long-term sward resilience.
Fertiliser Application
Alongside seeding, we provide fertiliser application using a UTV-mounted system to ensure accurate and efficient coverage across all types of grazing land, including areas with limited access. To ensure the most effective and responsible use of fertilisers, we recommend carrying out soil sampling first. This identifies any nutrient deficiencies and ensures that only the necessary inputs are applied, avoiding over-application and helping maintain a balanced, productive sward.
Fertiliser selection is especially important for equine environments, so we use products specifically formulated for horse paddocks.
Commonly applied products include:
Equine Slow Release Fertiliser
A controlled release formulation that supports consistent grass growth without causing sudden flushes, helping to reduce the risk of metabolic stress in horses.
Pelleted Lime
Used to adjust soil pH and improve nutrient availability. This supports stronger root development and encourages a thicker, healthier pasture.
All applications are tailored to the condition of the land and the specific grazing requirements.
The service can be delivered as a standalone treatment or as part of a broader pasture management plan.
